KRKA WATERFALLS & ŠIBENIK WITH WINE TASTING
Stunning Waterfalls and the incredible scenery make Krka National Park a must-see place when you are in Croatia! It is the second most visited National Park in Croatia – after the majestic Plitvice Lakes. Situated along the Krka River, the park’s beautiful waterfalls attract many visitors, and although many people come to Krka only to swim in the beautiful Skradinski buk falls, there are a number of incredible spots within the park that will leave you very impressed. Krka is sincerely nature’s masterpiece worth seeing while you’re in Croatia.
The first quick stop will be in the beautiful town of Primošten. Take remarkable pictures with a panoramic view in a background of this picturesque place. Back to the minivan, in 30 minutes drive, we’ll get to Šibenik, the oldest town known to be founded by Croats. After a walk through the old city, surrounded by small alleys and stone stairs you will feel a true Mediterranean atmosphere and history of this old town. Šibenik is the only city in Croatia which has 2 sights protected by Unesco, Fortress of St. Nicholas and cathedral of St. James – the most important architectural monument of the Renaissance in Croatia. Due to its beauty, unique construction and a mixture of Gothic and Renaissance styles, Jacob’s Cathedral is a unique monument in the world architecture because it is the only sacral structure built in mounting technique, without using wooden or mortar construction elements. We will share some interesting facts about Šibenik and you will know why is it one of the most charming cities on the Adriatic coast.
Arrival to park Krka is expected around 11:30. Right after getting tickets and spending 15 minutes time with our professional guide who will explain where to go, you will have 3 hours of free time to explore for yourself. We will enter through Lozovac entrance – the main entrance, and the closest one to the famous Skradinski buk waterfall. There is a 1,900-metres long walking trail, which leads through the forest and down to the enchanting Skradinski buk falls. Enjoy your time swimming, take a beautiful walk, find some nice rustic restaurant or a coffee place from where you can admire this magnificent nature!
After visiting the park, you will have a special opportunity to taste five authentic, high-quality premium wines that will give you the unique taste of Croatia. In this family-owned winery in Plastovo, you will taste some of the best wines from this region.
Since this is a small group tour the maximum number of people is 12. This way we make sure that our professional guides give you all of their attention and care. Besides, you’ll escape awaiting for others. As a cherry on a top for this magnificent day, we’ll take the highway back to Split with a short stopover above Trogir, another UNESCO protected town where you will enjoy a magnificent panorama view. Arrival in Split is expected at 6 p.m. so you’ll have enough time to organize your evening activities
